| Mr. Jury SENTYURIN Secretary of state - Deputy Minister of Education and Science Was born on the 16th of January, 1960 in Irkutsk. In 1982 graduated from Military Institute, trained as researcher-translator, in 1991 - Military-Diplomatic Academy of the Soviet Army, in 1997 - All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of foreign economic relations, trained as an economist, in 2002 graduated from Russian Academy of public administration under the President of the Russian Federation, trained as a lawyer. From 1982 till 1995 served in the Armed Forces of the USSR, the Russian Federation. Particularly, in 1982-86 served in Afghanistan. In 1995-98 worked as a reviewer, senior manager, then Director of the Department in transport company "Russky Mir". In 1998-99 - held office of Directors of the Transport Department of the Development Fund of Russia. In 1999-2001 - the head of the Department of regulation of natural monopolies on transport of the Russian Federation Ministry for Antimonopoly Policy and Support of Entrepreneurship. In 2001 held office of the Minister of industry and innovations in the Government of Nizhniy Novgorod region. From August, 2001 till December, 2003 - First Deputy of the governor of Nizhniy Novgorod region. From December, 2003 till April, 2007 - a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal assembly of the Russian Federation. A member of the faction "United Russia", vice-chairman of the State Duma Committee on power economy, transport and communication, coordinator of the All-Russian political party "Unitied Russia" on patriotic upbringing of youth. Was awarded an order "For service for the Motherland in the USSR Armed forces" of III degree, The Order of Honour, "Distinguished Labor Medal". Can speak English, French and Persian. Married. Has two children. |
