Support for talented youth

       The direction of the priority national project "Education" on the state support of talented youth calls upon to ensure conditions for realization of innovative potential of the Russian youth. Participation of talented and capable youth in the national project is regarded in the perspective as the most important factor and resource of development of society; its active engagement to educational, economic, political and social processes is able to add extra impulses of development as to an individual region as to the country in general.

       This direction of the priority national project provides an annual definition of 5 350 young talents in all regions of Russia. According to the decree of the President of Russia, 1 250 children - winners of Russian and awardees of international Olympiads - receive prizes of 60 thousand rubles, and 4 100 young talents - winners of regional and awardees of Russian Olympiads - receive bonuses of 30 thousand rubles.

       A part of the award laureates is selected by the federal center of the number of awardees of international and winners of all-Russian Olympiads among schoolchildren, students of professional education, students, and also of the number of winners and awardees of all-Russian actions with youth, offered by the federal bodies of executive power and all-Russian (international) public associations. 1 250 candidates of their number are awarded with prize of 60 thousand rubles, and 2 500 - of 30 thousand rubles.

       The second part of the award laureates is defined by the Russian Federation's subjects. The quantity of prizes for each region is determined proportionally to the quantity of youth aged 14-25. By the results of regional Olympiads and other contest activities 1 600 for receiving the award are defined. According to the rules of awarding talented youth with prizes the selection of candidates of the second group is carried out in five nominations: socially-important and public work; scientific-technical creative work and educational-research activity; professional skill; art work; and also amateur sports.

       The payments of prizes is conducted by transferring financial means to a personal account of each young person. This means can be used by children at their own discretion. Besides, all laureates receive diplomas of standard form and extract from the order of the Ministry of education and science of Russia.
