The Provision of Schools with Educational and Visual Aids and Equipment

Within the National Project 'Education', all schools in the outlying regions of Russia are supplied with educational and visual aids equipment. The principal goals of this area of focus of the National Project consist of the introduction of modern educational technologies and the raising of the quality of school education. All the supplied equipment is modern and enables the educational opportunities of schoolchildren and teachers to be significantly enlarged. It will increase the motivation of schoolchildren and will allow them to conduct all possible laboratory experiments, and will positively influence the content and efficiency of the educational process.

The school equipment supplied includes the advanced domestic developments including; digital educational resources: sets of interactive tasks, demonstrations, video-fragments, interactive laboratory tasks, sets of diagrams and templates. As the equipment is part of classrooms, the results of experiments and classroom tasks can be processed with the aid of computers. Thus, an interactive hard and software set includes an interactive class-board, a teacher's computer, a multimedia projector, and software and digital educational resources. The interactive class-board enables the teacher to show slides, videos and to draw diagrams as on a normal class-board, and to enter any changes in the text and save them in the form of computer files for their further use.

In accordance with Decree of the Government of Russia all the sets of educational equipment supplied within the National project 'Education' should be transferred to subjects of the Russian Federation. Within the region the sets of educational equipment and visual aids will be distributed in accordance with the real needs of schools at the discretion of the subject of the Federation. As a rule, the majority of the districts transfer school laboratories to those schools that were not one of the innovative schools of Russia; within their development programs the innovative schools, as a rule, independently purchase new educational equipment. Such an approach is conducive to the equalization of the educational capabilities of Russian schoolchildren.
