"The Ministry of education of Russia has elaborated a draft resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation, which provides prolongation of the project on modernizing the organization of school nourishment in 2010-2011", - informed the Director of the Department of the State Policy Concerning the Youth, Education and Social Protection of Children Alina Levitskaya.

The draft resolution also offers an opportunity to give regions additional subsidies to pay percents on credits contained such a position.

At present the experimental projects on modernizing the organization of school nutrition are being realized in 21 regions. The total volume of means, given for realization of experimental projects in 2009 from all kinds of sources, is around 2 billion rubles.

"On the basis of received positive experience of financing as a result of experiment in all the regions recommendations on organizing school nutrition will be sent, including model menus and educational programs on forming the culture of healthy nutrition", - marked Alina Levitskaya.

Since 2008 within the priority national project "Education" in the regions of the Russian Federation, chosen on a competitive basis, experimental projects are realized on modernizing the organization of school nutrition. The goal of the project is to solve technological, organizational, personnel and other issues, connected with introducing modern technologies into the sphere of school nutrition, to provide all pupils with a full hot nutrition, including a diet menu.

The means of the federal budget are sent exceptionally to equip nutrition units of institutions of secondary education with modern technological devices. The means of regional and local budgets are in general sent for building, reconstruction and repairing school nutrition units, for buying furniture, for additional purchase of modern technological equipment for school nutrition units.

If before starting the experiments the coverage of pupils by hot nutrition was on average 76%, at present in institutions of secondary education, which participate in the experiment on modernizing the organization of school nutrition, conditions for 100% coverage of pupils with hot nutrition are created, according to the requirements of sanitary rules and norms.
