VIII Moscow international salon of innovations and investments
continues its work at All-Russia Exhibition Center
On March 3, 2008 VIII Moscow international salon of innovations and investments started its work at Pavilion N69 All-Russia Exhibition Center.
The Minister of education and science of Russia A.A. Fursenko opened the Salon and said that innovative potential growth was one of the dominants developing Russian economics. "Innovations are not only the result of scientific research. It is important to have a commercial effect for a developer, a laboratory, an institute, and, what is most vital, for the country", said the Minister.
In the Minister's opinion, one of the directions to be developed effectively is engineering. "Not many countries are able to go in for it with success. It is one of the most attractive perspectives for Russia - to become an engineering country. To convert ideas to engineering products and to introduce it on our own is what may bring a considerably large value added", - stressed A.A. Fursenko.
The Director of the Federal Agency for Science and Innovation S.N. Mazurenko stated that only in 2007 more than three thousand organizations, including enterprises of private practice, took part in the competitions, announced within FTP "Research and development in priority fields of science and technology complex of Russia in 2007-2012", and 2 200 organizations took part in the execution of the contracts within this program in 2007.
More than 600 scientific and industrial organizations, universities, techno-parks, enterprises of small and middle-scale business, science-towns, centers of international scientific and technical and innovative cooperation, venture funds, financial and consulting structures take part in the VIII Salon. More than 600 exponents from 22 regions of the Russian Federation and 16 foreign countries are presented in the exposition.
Innovative developments in priority fields of science and technology complex of Russia are demonstrated at the Salon. Systems of endoscopic control, program complex of processing images and videos, autonomous registrar of seismic signals (ARSS), laser materials and nonlinear elements on the base of nano-composite materials and a series of other scientific researchers are of great interest to the visitors.
The results of the Ministry of education and science of Russia and Russian Science on forming the national innovative potential within FTP "Research and development in priority fields of science and technology complex of Russia in 2007-2012" are presented in a separate exposition. Its sections are: "Nanotechnologies and materials", "Live systems", "Energy and energy saving", "Rational nature management", and "Informational and telecommunication technologies".
