The Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation announces the beginning of admission of applications for participation in the selection of organizations, which carry out publishing educational books for institutions of general education.

The participants of the selection can be organizations, maintaining preparation and publishing of printed editions, received by printing or stamping, polygraphically independently designed, assigned for distribution information included in them, which passed editorial and publishing elaboration, and which have imprints.

The admission of applications is maintained until August, 24, 2009.

When making a decision on selection the following showings of an organization's activity will be taken into consideration:

presence of experience in publishing educational books;

realization of educational books in the Russian Federation;

total circulation of educational books (including republication);

presence of specialized subject editorial staff or presence of editors on all educational disciplines (subject areas), in which educational books are published, art editors, technical editors, correctors, scientific editors on educational disciplines (subject areas);

presence in the staff of methodists on educational disciplines (subject fields);

presence of inner procedure of controlling the quality of published educational books with aim of their admission to usage in the educational process.

For reference:

An application is written in a free form with indication of the data about a founder (founders) of the organization, the full name of the organization, its juridical and postal address, e-mail, the official website, means of distribution of the publishing educational books. Applications are to be signed by the head of the organization or by the authorized person.

The application is attached by:

1) Copies of constituent documents of the organization, certified by its head

2) Certificate from the rating authority on absence of any overdue debt on tax or other obligatory payments to the budget system of the Russian Federation

3) Full list (with all date-lines) of titles of educational books which have been published to the moment of sending the application, with indication of the circulation, year of publishing and authors

4) List of editors on all educational disciplines (subject fields), on which educational books are published, art editors, science editors on educational disciplines (subject fields), with short characteristics of specialists, including academic degree and (or) academic status (if any)

5) List of methodists on educational disciplines (subject fields), on which educational books are published, with short characteristics of specialists, including academic degree and (or) academic status (if any)

6) Regulation on carrying out inner control procedure by the organization for the quality of publishing educational books with aim to admit them to the usage in the educational process.

All applications, which will be received after the stated date, will be examined by the Commission at the following meetings to solve the question of including these organizations to the list forming for the next calendar year.
