Andrei Fursenko: In 2010 the reception to budget places in higher school will be kept on the level of 2009

       "The ministry finds it important and necessary to keep social guarantees for school-leavers. In 2010 the number of budget places at the first course of higher school with internal form of education will be kept at the level of the year 2009 in the quantity of 418 places for 1000 school-leavers of 11th grades", - informed the Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Andrei Fursenko at the meeting of the Ministry's board on December, 23, 2009.

       The number of budget places of reception to the first course of institutions of higher professional education on programs of training specialists and bachelors in 2010 will be 448 thousand people, including with internal form - 344 thousand people.

       "The quantity of budget places in magistracy will be increased on 45%, up to 50 158 places in 2010. In the leaving year the reception to magistracy for budget places was 34 512 places", - marked the director of the Department of state policy in education of the Ministry of education and science of Russia Igor Remorenko. - "In total, the number of budget places in magistracy will be annually increased with 15 thousand places, and to 2014 the reception of masters should be 112,7 thousand budget places. I.e. the proportion "graduation of bachelors - reception of masters" as 3 to 1 will be provided.

       Also, according to the information of the director of the Department of state scientific-technical and innovative policy of the Minister of education and science of Russia Alexander Naumov, "in 2010 the control figures of reception in comparison with 2009 will be increased for candidates on 4,2% (up to 29 519 places), for doctoral students - on 5,5% (up to 1 454 places), for internees - on 22,9% (up to 11 905 places) and will decrease for resident physicians on 3,8% (to 5 620 places)".

       According to the results of reception of 2009 for the contest for one budget place the enlarged group of professions "Services sector" leads with far behind (227 applications for one budget place), further - "Information security" (68 applications), and "Energy, energetic machinery and electrical engineering" (34 applications).

       On the basis of economics' need in specialists, beginning from 2005 the systematic redistribution of control figures of reception to the first course of institutions of higher education took place. Thus, during 5 years the shortening of control figures of reception on 28,8% happened with a number of enlarged groups of professions (e.g. "Humanitarian sciences on 26,7, "Education and pedagogics" on 28,8, "Economics and management" on 44,6%), and with a number of them the reception increased (e.g. "Automatics and management" increased on 77,2%, "Information security" - on 46,9%, "Geodesy and land development" - on 13%, "Aviation and space-rocket engineering" - on 5,1%, "Marine engineering" - on 11,4%).
