The Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation is announcing the conduct of the open contest on elaborating emblem of the Year of Teacher and scenario of social advertisement, aimed at increasing the prestige of the teacher profession in the Russian society. The contest is included into the plan of primary actions on conducting the Year of Teacher approved by the Government of Russia.

The elaborated symbolic should find response in millions of Russians, remind the role of the Teacher in life of every person and the whole society, help to revive a high status of this profession and at the same time create a modern image of a Russian teacher. The emblem will become a distinctive and representative mark and will accompany all actions and promo-materials within the Year of Russia.

The participation in the contest of elaborating symbolic of the Year of Teacher is allowed as to specialists of advertisement and design as to representatives of a wide public, including teachers, workers of educational sphere, schoolchildren, students, their parents and relatives.

The terms of conducting the contest: from November, 5, to December, 15, 2009. The admission of works and their evaluation by the jury members will be maintained at the site of the interactive system E-generator.ru, which is specialized on organization of creative contests.

The winners of the contest will receive monetary prizes from the founders.

The best emblem (graphic sign) of the Year of Teacher:
1 place - 100 000 rubles
2 place (two participants) - 60 000 rubles
3 place (three participants) - 30 000 rubles

The general partner of the action will be the Internet-portal for schoolchildren and their parents the "Big break". At the "Big break" all works in the nomination the Best emblem (graphic sign) of the Year of teacher will be posted. By the results of the Internet-voting the best emblem will be defined and the special award of the "Big break" will be given.
